The Islands of the Florida Keys

The Florida Keys is a coral cay archipelago aof around 1700 islands in the southeast United States, off the southern coast of Florida. This 112 mile stretch of islands lay along the Florida Straits and acts as a divider for the Atlantic Ocean to the East and the Gulf of Mexico to the West. The four most well known and renowned locations in the Keys are Key Largo, Islamorada, Marathon, and Key West.

Over 30 miles long, Key Largo is the largest section of the Florida Keys. It is widely known as the Diving Capital of the World and is home to the world's second largest artificial reef. It is accessible along Mile Markers 91-107 from the Overseas Highway.

Islamorada, the Village of Islands, is 7.3 square miles long and consists of the islands of Lower and Upper Matecumbe Key, Windley Key, and Plantation Key. It has many great fishing locations and opportunities and regularly hosts local, regional, and national fishing tournaments.
